Deutsche Telekom – Grandpa

This project was a collaboration with NottoScale, where I was responsible for the lighting and rendering of this charming and creative spot.

The brief was to match the beginning of the previous spot, add depth and warmth to the new shots based on the director's feedback. With a mixture of various visual mediums, it was both an enjoyable and challenging project with 30 seconds of animation needing to be lit and rendered. Maya was used for animation and Redshift renderer was used for all the 3D rendering which was done on a small GPU farm of 3 x RTX 3090s. Redshift plus the RTX GPUs provided fast iterations and fast rendering times. Completed renders were then handed to comp to work their magic, where they added the 2D elements, polished, and completed the shots.
